Long Ashton Village Market, April 2nd

Spring is in the air with primroses, celandines and the first bluebells popping up in the woods around us. With summer just round the corner, how about investing in some plants for the future?

LANCE Trust has a stall at Long Ashton Village Market on Saturday 2nd April. Doors open at 09.30 and we have got well over FOURTEEN varieties of wild flowers on sale including the beautiful yet, sadly, endangered corn cockle (below).

So easy to grow, this once-familiar annual found in meadows throughout the parish is rarely seen. So, why not give at least one or two corn cockles and other species a home in your garden this year? We shall be outside with a gazebo - just in case of a shower or two. All money raised will be spent on our biodiversity projects within the parish, so we hope to catch up with you on Saturday!
