Habitats
Habitat is a word that’s used often but what does it actually mean? Originating from the Latin word habitare meaning to live or dwell, habitat is used today to describe a place where an animal lives. It provides food, water and shelter. Depriving a habitat of one of those things means making life difficult or impossible for the animals that live there to survive.
Long Ashton is blessed with many habitats but not all of them give species everything that they need. And one habitat, in particular, is in short supply. And that’s rich wildflower meadows
